Description

A delightful and easy Strawberry Cobbler that brings a slice of summer into your home, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced into 1/4 inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter, diced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch round or square baking pan with butter.
  2. In a saucepan, combine cornstarch, lemon juice, and white sugar. Cook on medium heat until thickened, then fold in strawberries and transfer to the baking dish. Dot with diced butter.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then stir in heavy cream.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the strawberries and bake for 25 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also use other fruits like blueberries or peaches for variation.
