Craving something sweet and easy to make? These peanut butter balls are the perfect treat! They’re creamy, chocolaty, and simply irresistible. Make them today and share the love with your friends and family!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups of either chunky or creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup of softened butter
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 12 oz of chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of grated paraffin wax
  • Optional: Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  2. Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
  3. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and paraffin wax together until smooth.
  4. Dip each peanut butter ball into the chocolate mixture, ensuring each ball is fully coated.
  5. Place the chocolate-covered balls back on the wax paper and sprinkle with sprinkles if desired.
  6. Refrigerate until the chocolate sets, about 1 hour.

Notes

  • Peanut Butter Choice: You can use either smooth or chunky peanut butter depending on your preference. Chunky peanut butter will give the balls more texture.
  • Paraffin Wax: This is commonly used to help the chocolate harden and maintain its smoothness. If you don’t have it, you can skip it or use a small amount of coconut oil as an alternative.
  • Melting Chocolate: When melting chocolate, be sure to do it slowly over a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave to avoid burning.
  • Refrigeration: The key to perfectly set chocolate is to allow the peanut butter balls to chill in the fridge for at least an hour. You can also store them in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Decorating: Sprinkles are optional, but they add a fun, festive touch! You can also try drizzling extra melted chocolate on top for more flair.
