Description

Looking for a treat that brings Christmas cheer in every bite? These little cake balls are the perfect festive snack to share! Quick to make and full of deliciousness, you’ll love how simple yet special they are. Give it a try!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 Little Debbie Vanilla Christmas Tree Cakes (from two 8.62 oz boxes)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 20 oz white chocolate melting wafers (Ghirardelli recommended)
  • 6 oz red vanilla flavored melting wafers (Wilton recommended)
  • 1 tbsp green sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Crumble the Christmas tree cakes into a large bowl.
  2. Mix in the softened cream cheese until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze for about 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the white chocolate wafers and dip each cake ball to coat completely.
  6. Drizzle with melted red candy wafers and sprinkle with green sanding sugar for a festive look.
  7. Allow to set in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

Consistency: If the mixture feels too dry or crumbly, you can add a little more softened cream cheese to help bind everything together.

Freezing Tip: Make sure to freeze the cake balls for at least 30 minutes before dipping them in chocolate. This will help them hold their shape and prevent them from falling apart.

Melting Chocolate: When melting the white and red chocolate wafers, do so in short bursts in the microwave, stirring in between, to prevent burning. You can also use a double boiler if you prefer.

Decoration Variations: Feel free to get creative with the toppings! You could use colored sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or even drizzle with melted milk chocolate for extra flavor.

Storage: Store the finished cake balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. They’re perfect for holiday gifting or snacking!
