Description

Looking for a sweet and salty holiday treat that will make your taste buds dance? This homemade Christmas Crack recipe is easy to make and perfect for sharing with friends and family. Let’s get baking and spread some festive joy!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 30 plain rectangular crackers
  • 1¼ cups of tightly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup of salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring
  • 2 cups of dark chocolate morsels
  • ¼ cup of holiday-themed confetti sprinkles in shades of green, red, white, and brown

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is boiling. Then, continue to cook for 3 more minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour over crackers, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbling all over.
  6. Remove from oven, immediately sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top, and let sit for a few minutes to melt. Spread melted chocolate over toffee.
  7. Sprinkle with Christmas-themed sprinkles and chill in the refrigerator until set.
  8. Break into pieces and serve.

Notes

  • You can swap out the dark chocolate chips for milk chocolate or white chocolate if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  • To make it extra festive, you can add crushed candy canes or mini marshmallows to the topping.
  • If you’re making this for a large crowd, simply double the recipe!
  • Let the Christmas Crack cool completely before breaking it into pieces to avoid melting the chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep it fresh for up to a week.
