Description

Easter Kool Aid Pie is a fun and colorful treat that brings smiles to everyone! Perfect for spring gatherings or holiday celebrations. My family loves making this together—it’s a sweet memory in the making!

Ingredients

Scale

2 ¼ Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs or 18 graham cracker sheets turned into crumbs
1 Stick Unsalted Butter or ½ cup
16 Ounces Whipped Cream
2 Cans Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 ounces each
1 Packet Blue Kool-Aid blue raspberry lemonade
1 Packet Yellow Kool-Aid lemonade
1 Packet Pink Kool-Aid pink lemonade
1 Packet Purple Kool-Aid grape
Yellow Food Dye optional

Instructions

1. Place the butter in a small microwave-safe dish and heat it in the microwave for a minute on high.
2. Combine the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs in a medium mixing bowl and mix until it resembles sand.
3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of your springform pan until it’s just under the rim.
4. Place the crust in the freezer until you’re ready to use it.
5. In a medium mixing bowl, mix 4 ounces of whipped cream with about 7 ounces or half of one can of sweetened condensed milk.
6. Add the pink Kool-Aid and mix until the color is uniform.
7. Remove your crust from the freezer and spoon the pink mixture into the bottom, smoothing it out evenly. Place the pie back in the freezer.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 for each color in this order: pink, purple, yellow, and blue. If the yellow isn’t bright enough, add a few drops of yellow food dye.
9. Place the pie in the freezer or fridge for 3 hours or until it is firm.
10. Top with extra whipped cream, if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

Use a Springform Pan for Easy Removal:
A springform pan makes it much easier to remove the layered pie cleanly without breaking the crust or disturbing the colorful layers. If using a standard pie dish, line it with parchment for easier lifting.

Freeze Between Layers:
To achieve clean, distinct layers of color, freeze the pie for 15–20 minutes between adding each new Kool-Aid layer. This will help prevent the colors from blending together.

Adjust Sweetness if Needed:
Kool-Aid can be quite tangy, and sweetened condensed milk is very sweet. Taste each filling layer before adding it to the crust—you can balance flavors with a little extra whipped cream if needed.

Chill Long Enough to Set Properly:
For best results, freeze the pie for at least 3–4 hours or refrigerate overnight. This ensures firm slices when serving and prevents the layers from collapsing.
