Notes

Ingredient Substitutions: If you don’t have Ritz crackers, substitute with saltine crackers, breadcrumbs, or crushed cornflakes. For a healthier version, use lean ground beef or ground turkey.

Glaze Variations: Experiment with barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or a mushroom gravy for a unique twist on the classic glaze.

Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare the meat mixture and shape the loaf a day in advance. Cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 325°F (163°C) for 15-20 minutes to retain moisture, or microwave with a damp paper towel to prevent drying.

Serving Suggestions: Pair with mashed potatoes, green beans, or buttermilk biscuits for a complete Southern-style meal.

Internal Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for safe consumption.

Customization: Add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, or chopped vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for extra flavor and nutrition.
