Description

A colorful and festive cake perfect for summer celebrations, featuring layers of red, white, and blue batters.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tub vanilla/white frosting
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the white cake mix, water, oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into three bowls, coloring one red, one blue, and leaving one white.
  4. Coat a bundt cake pan with non-stick spray.
  5. Layer the batters in the pan: red, then white, then blue.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely for 1 hour.
  8. Microwave some frosting for 15 seconds until pourable. Frost the cake with the white frosting.
  9. Drizzle the colored frostings on top and add festive toppings.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the batter and ensure the cake cools completely before frosting.
